“ What a gorgeous lunch experience! We did a round of cocktails and our group ordered the squash salad (wonderful, filling, and seasonal perfection), the burger (beautifully seasoned fries, and an extremely prepared beef burger), a poke bowl (generous tuna portion and all very well balanced). The duck confit egg rolls were unreal and enjoyed by all! Thank you for the wonderful lunch experience! You’ll be seeing us again. ”
“ Oh what a fresh breath of delight in a hazy fog of triviality. For a moment I felt like I was in Paris again. The charm, the friendly atmosphere, and the energy booming from the kitchen. From where I sat I could see the passionate chefs putting their final touches of excellence to the plates and I was thrilled to find a place marked by passion! I will surely come back here as often as I possibly can. ”
“ Gorgeous little bistro in old Almonte — with a large patio out back. Great mocktails and quality food. Recommend! ”
“ Absolutely delightful! We love The Sterling for all of the things; local girls nights, family birthdays, anniversary celebrations and date night with my husband. It checks all of the boxes for me; lovely Cabernet Sauvignon wine selections and seasonal cocktails (Lars Lemonade is a must try), as well as mouthwatering fresh fruit/veggies to top the plates. My husband is always impressed with the tasty beef and beer options and never leaves hungry. It is also my favourite spot to invite my out of town friends when they visit because whether they are from California or Calgary - they are always impressed. Apart from all of the favourable food, atmosphere and service, my favourite part is I never feel rushed, which makes for a really remarkable dining experience! ”
“ The Sterling Restaurant in Almonte is a charming and cozy spot with a fun vibe. The menu offers a great mix of creative dishes. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is casual but with a bit of a quaint, small-town feel that adds to the experience. We will be back. ”
“ Super friendly & attentive staff & host (thanks Kristen, I hope I’m spelling that right.) Really yummy dirty martini, refreshing and perfectly balanced. I started with the hot whipped feta and sourdough, then had the gnocchi as my main that was recommended by the lovely ladies seated beside me. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. This spot is such a great addition to the town of Almonte. Already looking forward to my next visit! ”
“ We made a last-minute decision to eat here on a Saturday night and were lucky to get a spot by the window (excellent for people watching) so if you have your heart set on eating here, make a reservation! The tenderloin was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and so were the shrimp in the linguini dish. We also tried the beef carpaccio and a few of their seasonal cocktails. The honey margarita was amazing and we can’t wait to go back to sample some of their other dishes and cocktails. The atmosphere in the restaurant was intimate and cozy, relatively quiet (low music and a chill vibe). Our server and the other staff we interacted with were all very polite and pleasant. Great place! ”
“ I fell in love only thing I would suggest is that mocktails be cheaper.. ”
